Learning about all the families that built the library, YWCA, etc that helped shaped the town was enjoyable

This part of the country has preserved its history well. A number of the old houses remain and the stories about the town’s early settlers are wonderful. Many of the names are familiar. Our guide was a total enthusiast and swept us up into the history.

This was a great way to learn about the history of Bar Harbor. I particularly loved walking along the shore line to see the beach roses, old cottages, hotels and parks. I recommend it!

The guide was very nice but the tour itself was lacking in history! It looks like there are so many historical buildings in this town and we literally only visited or walked past three that he talked about. He actually didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the town only about those few sites. In my opinion, certainly not worth the $82 per couple. However, it was a nice day and we enjoyed the walk.

THIS WAS A WONDERFUL TOUR. It was filled with info provided by our guide Sue. She gave us more time than was allotted to finish the tour and we loved every minute.The tour was so informative and so much fun ! The tour is a must if you wish to understand how Bar Harbor came to be a destination.

This tour hit all the main places of Bar Harbor. It incorporates history with the beautiful architecture and food facts of the place. I would highly recommend it if you want to hear about Bar Harbor, and its stories. our guide, Sue, was extremely knowledgeable and a great guide
