We brought our grandchildren to MOSI after the renovation. Our 11 & 15 yr olds had a great time. The adults enjoyed it too. There are lots of stations and different science and technology hands on tables. There's a planetarium, climbing, video games and just plenty to do. Plan to spend the day. If you haven't been to MOSI since the rebuild you owe it to yourself. And don't wait for a rainy day. There are things to do outdoors too. Like ziplines and rope climbs.

Mosi Museum, Tampa, FL Aug 11, 2021 I took 7 kids aged 10 and under. They loved every minute. I read about it before going and I believe it must have been wonderful before 2017. It's now 1/2 its original size, but the hands on stuff was great. I did see older teens there, but I don't think there was much for them. The cost was reasonable at $7.95/child. They did charge $8/extra for the Virtual Reality ride, which the kids loved also. It was easy in and easy out and I loved all the puzzles around the museum. So it gets a thumbs up from me for the price, and experience. Everytime I thought we were done, we had more to see. I just don't think its for older teens. The Video game room was the best!!! Pong was there for us old folk

Today was my first (and probably last) time coming here since the enormous changes made in 2017. Despite knowing about the changes, saying my experience was bad would be a HUGE understatement. It was disappointing and just flat out depressing. MOSI is NOWHERE near what it used to be. Over half of the museum is closed off, and everything is consolidated into the former kids in charge building. I only came to check out the video game revolution exhibit, which was okay. I wouldn't recommend coming to MOSI at all nowadays; it's not worth it anymore. So sad to see what has happened to one of my favorite childhood places.

This is a repeat of my Google review for anyone who needs it. MOSI is now a fraction of the size it was only a decade ago. It is basically a less well put together children's museum. Which isn't bad, but if you are expecting the almost Smithsonian quality experience you were once able to have, you will be disappointed. During my family's recent visit, there were quite a few school groups, which would have not been an issue had there been more space in the facility. There isn't an IMAX theater anymore but there is a very intricate outdoor ropes course, a virtual reality ride/game, and a small planetarium for additional fees. No longer a day long museum but still fun. Just bring a small pack of disinfectant wipes with you if you visit during peak times, as it can be difficult for them to keep up with the cleaning. There is no food stand or restaurant, just a couple snack and drink vending machines. So be prepared. Lots of restaurants about a 5 minute drive away.

We stopped at the MOSI museum while waiting for our flight out of Tampa. A nice place for all ages (best for ages 8 and up) to spend 2-3 hours. Fun hands on activities. The brain teaser stations were a hit with everyone. We also tried out the VR simulator. It's an extra $8 per person and limited tickets, but it was a lot of fun, albeit short. Free parking.

Hey guys and gals, living and growing up in Tampa, I have always loved MOSI. Unfortunately, at the moment, it seems as though they've condensed a once very vibrant and large space to a single building. The reason for this is that they are planning a move to downtown Tampa. I'm sure it'll return to its former glory then. I hope this explains some of the bad reviews. It's still a good place to take the little ones for a few hours. Hurry and move MOSI, can't wait to come visit downtown.

When we got to the museum they would not accept your tickets. We had to pay there and will be needing a refund from you on our credit card.

This is a little smaller than I expected but then again, I'm used to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto which is huge. This place is great for kids, lot of educational things that are also fun.

Two grandchildren, ages 8 and 12, my adult son and myself. Haven’t been here in many years. The boys had fun. Learned a lot about science, theories, Virtual reality was extra, but we enjoyed it. Rope climbing outside, when it stopped raining. Kiddie playground for little kids. There are better museums, but this was good.
