Itinerary

Hop aboard a 25-foot inflatable Zodiac boat and explore the gentle waters along the southern coast of Kauai. Pass the famous Spouting Horn on your way to 2 different snorkeling spots with an abundance of marine life such as yellow tang and the Hawaiian green sea turtle.

Your guide shares some history of the island as you travel along the scenic coastline, past famous landmarks such as the Spouting Horn blowhole, which releases a huge spout of water during swells, and the former residence of Queen Emma of Hawaii near Allerton Bay.

Along the way, be sure to look out for the dolphins that mingle in the area, and get a photo as these playful creatures show off their jumps and spins.

When you're ready, strap on your custom-fitted snorkeling gear and plunge into the sea. Just below the boat lay colorful reefsâ€”home to a variety of fish such as yellow tang, butterfly fish, and Hawaii's state fish the humuhumunukunukuapua'a. These shorelines are also home to the Hawaiian green sea turtle, so keep an eye out for these lazy swimmers.

Back on the boat, fuel up with some delicious snacks and beverages before your captain moves you to the second snorkeling spot for the day!

We went on the Zodiac Boat Snorkel Adventure and it was so much fun! Our guides (Bri and Tara I think were their names) were so helpful and had so much knowledge about the ocean and sea turtles. A lot of us felt sea sick and they pulled out ginger ale for us and had some snacks. I highly recommend this tour, swimming with the turtles was one of the highlights of my trip to Kauai!

Loved the zodiac ride. Saw whales and turtles. Beautiful coastline and then got to snorkel at two locations. Captain Tara and Laura were wonderful!

Turtles swimming right beside me! Colorful fish everywhere. The Captain, Terra, was so knowledable. Christine and the captain were so enthused about the ocean and animals. They were helpful for us more mature riders and the kids and young adults had fun too. Yes, go!

Let me preface my review by saying I was given a chance to back out of the excursion due to the weather. I chose not to. Our guide Christina and the boat captain Will were amazing. Christina was very knowledgeable and Will was very skilled in his boat driving. It was rainy and windy and the waves were “sporty”. We were given the option to back out and get full refund if we didn’t want to go. We should have. There were people who threw up and those of us that just felt horrible. The rain in the wind and the waves made it freezing. We did see a couple turtles and a few fish. But with the weather as it was it was not worth enduring. If it was a beautiful sunny day this would be most amazing. So my review is mainly just to warn people that if they use the words “sporty” referring to the weather and give you the option to back out I probably would. Lol

This about our fourth trip with Captain Tara who always provides a great experience! She works hard to find clear water for maximum visibility and sea life. Today we swam with sea turtles where they congregated in “cleaning stations” where fish ate the algae from their shells. Tara also provides commentary on the marine life, geological formations and Hawaiin culture. Before snorkeling we spotted a manta ray and spent a few minutes observing and learning about them. Dive master Christina was excellent, too! Both Tara and Christina were patient, knowledgeable and helpful. Great trip!

Due to a confusion we were 15 minutes late and the employees we super polite and kind. They were very organized and clean. Our captain and guide were knowledgeable. The seas were pretty rough so our ride out was rough but fun. We went to some sites and were given the history of the area. The first snorkeling site had huge turtles. The second site had turtles and all the different fish you'd hope to see. We were at both sites for ample amount of time. There were snacks, water, and ginger ale on board. The only down side was 6 of the 8 people in our family ended up barfing. The water was just too rough, even while snorkeling. I still give it 5 stars though. Amazing experience. Highly recommended especially since many of the beaches in Kauai are not swimable this time of year.

We saw lots of turtles and fish. The boat was surprisingly comfortable and easy to get in and out. I am prone to seasickness and prefer the zodiac to bigger boats. The captain spotted a whale and took us for a closer look. We also saw a colorful bait ball. Liked the small personalized tour!
